Terakeet Celebrates 25 Years of Innovation and Evolution

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — 9/25/26 — Terakeet, the preferred reputation management partner for the Fortune 500, today celebrated its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter century of growth, innovation, and evolution in a rapidly changing digital landscape.

Founded in Syracuse, New York, by CEO Mac Cummings and Patrick Danial in 2001, Terakeet began as a small technology company focused on speech recognition software. As the internet changed how people found and consumed information, the company’s work shifted as well — first into search and digital marketing and then into reputation management.

Today, that work is shaped by another major change in how people access information: generative AI. As search engines and AI platforms influence how companies and their leaders are understood, Terakeet has expanded its focus to helping organizations understand, monitor and manage their reputation across a complex digital landscape.

“For 25 years, Terakeet’s growth has been driven by a team willing to learn, experiment and build,” said Cummings. “Our people have continually found new ways to turn new ideas into meaningful impact for our clients. That spirit of innovation has been part of Terakeet since the beginning.”

What began with three employees in Syracuse has grown into a fully remote company with more than 200 employees across over 135 cities in the United States. Today, Terakeet partners with several Fortune 500 companies who rely on its expertise in technology, data, strategy, content, communications, and reputation management. While its work, technology, and team have continued to grow, Terakeet keeps honoring its Syracuse roots.

Through Cause For The Cuse, Terakeet’s employee-run nonprofit, employees have supported programs reaching more than 20,000 students, with a focus on supporting educational opportunities for students in the Syracuse City School District.

“Terakeet has never been defined by a single office, strategy, or era,” added Cummings. “What has endured is our willingness to evolve and the people who continue to push us forward. We’re incredibly proud of the first 25 years and excited about what comes next.”
