SYRACUSE, NY (August 4, 2025) — The seventh annual Cause For The ‘Cuse Golf Tournament brought together community members for a day of friendly competition, connection, and impactful giving today. The golf tournament is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year and supports its mission of providing essential educational tools and supplies to students who need them most.

Hosted at Timber Banks Golf Course in Baldwinsville, NY, the 2025 tournament featured activities including raffles, putting competitions, and awards for the best-scoring team. Much of the proceeds went toward a local program focused on giving schoolchildren backpacks and school supplies.

“At Cause For The ‘Cuse, we’re proud to bring together so many community members to support students in the Syracuse City School District,” said Cause For The ‘Cuse Co-Chair and Sr. Client Success Manager Katie Heaton. “We are so thankful to our players, sponsors, and Terakeet volunteers, whose support makes this event, and our mission, possible.”

Founded in 2013 by Terakeet employees, Cause For The ‘Cuse was created to support students in the Syracuse City School District by providing resources that help enhance learning and opportunity. Since its inception, the nonprofit has raised more than $100,000, directly helping over 20,000 local students across 30 schools. Every dollar raised goes toward educational tools and supplies, and the organization is run entirely by Terakeet volunteers who are committed to strengthening the local community.
